Classic GWF Moment Jan. 1, 2000 It was just a typical house show on the first night of Y2K, but a match right before intermission put a new spin on a hate-fueled feud that won't soon be forgotten. Ali-Rabbu and the Rainbow Crusader were minutes into a hellacious falls-count-anywhere match when the action finally spilled out onto the floor and up into the aisle. Each man hit his respective finisher, yet was unable to score a pinfall. Feeling the frustration, Rainbow Crusader set up a table at ringside with the intent of putting Al-Rabbu through it for the win. But the rotten-mouthed Arab stunned his foe with a low blow just before the big boom. And that's when it happened: Ali-Rabbu quickly hopped to the corner of the ring, turned slightly and leaped at the Crusader, who had begun to regain his footing atop the table. As the crowd gasped in disbelief, Ali-Rabbu snagged his legs around the Japanese legend's skull, turned grotesquely in mid-air, and drove himself and his opponent through the wood and into the floor with a hurricanrana straight from hell. Crusader never recovered, and Ali-Rabbu, semi-conscious himself, rolled one arm over his opponent for the 1-2-3. It was a major feather in Ali-Rabbu's cap as far as the feud was concerned, and it stirred the appetite of fans who would spend the next 18 months watching these two men destroy each other.
